5 Colors Trending in Spring & Summer 2023
Spring & Summer 2023 Runway season has got me so excited! Even though I don’t let trends dictate my overall style – it is nearly impossible to escape it completely; so, it is refreshing to see the return of the feminine aesthetic to the front row of the fashion world. With that being said, designers’ collections featured colors that went from delicate pastels to vibrant hues – representing all nuances of womanhood.
1. Purple
Symbolizing authority, mystery and femininity, purple is my personal favorite! Seen in shows like Ulla Johnson, Gucci, Versace and Zimmerman; all shades of purple – from lilac to violet - will be hot this season – which means there’s a shade out there to suit everyone.

2. Green
In particular the brighter versions of green, like lime green and electric green, are having a moment this spring. Houses such as Fendi brought these colors in both clothing and accessories. If you are a little unsure on how to style these vibrant colors, opt for accessories in gold, brown and nude to be on the safe side. A monochromatic or high contrast (purple, orange, pink, yellow) look for a bold approach.

3. Blue
Blue shades, more specifically Cobalt Blue and Powder Blue were seen not only in fashion shows, but also on celebrities walking the red carpet. Blue outfits are always a good investment as they work as neutrals (think blue jeans); are easy to style and will last many seasons in your wardrobe.

4. Black
Not usually a color associated with spring, black is strong this spring due to the power of social media (TikTok) in addition to the popularity of the TV show Wednesday on Netflix. Designers took note and the goth, all black looks were all over spring collections of major fashion houses like Dior and Burberry.

5. Pink
No surprises here, pink is always a safe bet for spring as it represents love, innocence and optimism. The exuberant barbie core pink is coming in hot for the second year in a row. Baby pink is also trending, tying in with the romantic, feminine theme of this fashion season.
